Linking Melvor Idle Steam Account to Mobile Version

Are you tired of dealing with ads on your mobile device while playing Melvor Idle? Have you purchased the premium version on Steam and are now wondering if there's a way to access the ad-free experience on your Android device as well? Unfortunately, it seems that linking your Steam account to the mobile version is not as straightforward as one might hope.

When you load up the mobile version of Melvor Idle and log in using the same Melvor Cloud account you used for Steam, it will grant you access to the 'premium' mobile version. However, supposedly, if you bought on Steam and signed into the game with your Melvor Cloud account, it should have linked your premium Steam account to the cloud account. Unfortunately, this linking process does nothing, as you still need to go through Google's payment system to access the ad-free version.

According to the game's Discord server, the cross-platform premium feature was first implemented for Steam to Mobile. However, there is no way to tell Google that you bought the game on Steam and bypass their payment system to download the ad-free version. The purchases on all platforms are gated by their respective app stores, meaning that you need to purchase the game separately on each platform.

It's frustrating to know that even using the Melvor Cloud feature to create an account for PC and then logging into the free Android version with that same account cannot auto-remove ads or upgrade the game to the paid Android version. Unfortunately, it seems that there is no possibility of accessing the ad-free version on Android when purchasing the PC version.

As someone who hasn't even played the game yet, I understand why you might be feeling a bit greedy asking for this feature. However, seeing the mobile version available right from the start, it's natural to wonder if there's a way to access the premium experience across all platforms.

For now, it seems that we'll just have to deal with ads on our mobile devices unless we purchase the game separately on Android as well.
